Foot Switch Connectors

The earliest versions of the Super Beatle, Royal Guardsman, Buckingham and Viscount amplifiers had a different foot switch connector system than used on the later versions of these amps.

Super Beatle models V14 and V114, Royal Guardsman models V13 and V113, Buckingham models V12 and V112 and Viscount models V15 and V115 had dual foot switch jacks mounted to the rear of the amp chassis.

These amps were equipped with dual independent foot pedals. A 1/4" TRS (tip - ring - sleeve) jack was combined with a "two button" foot switch to remotely control the reverb and tremolo functions of the amp. A single button foot switch with an RCA jack was used to actuate the "MRB" funtion on the amp. A wiring diagram showing this arrangement is shown at left.

Later versions of these amps had a six pin foot switch connector system.

This connector coupled to a four button foot switch which remotely controlled reverb, tremolo, distortion, and MRB.
