Here are answers to a few questions frequently asked of the Vox Showroom.
1) I'd like to service my own vintage Vox amplifier, may I ask for technical assistance or advice where to finds parts to complete my repair?
The Vox Showroom offers, at no charge, downloads of most of the most popular service schematics for 60's era Vox amplifiers. Click here for schematics for US (Thomas) Vox amps and here for UK (JMI) Vox amps, effects and organs. Additionally, further technical assistance for many items can be found by using the search feature of the Vox Showroom.
The Vox Showroom does not respond to individual requests for technical or repair advice or maintain a list of suggested electronic parts suppliers.
2) Can you suggest a shop that services vintage Vox amplifiers, effects and organs?
Frankly, there are not very many shops in the US that are qualified or willing to service vintage Vox gear. At this time the only shop I am willing to recommend is British Audio Service in Nashville TN. The Vox Showroom does not receive any consideration from British Audio for suggesting their services.
3) What is my vintage Vox amplifier, effect or organ worth?
The selling price of your vintage Vox item is determined by what someone is willing to pay for it, not a number you or I assign to it. This amount is controlled by supply and demand. I suggest you consult online services such as Reverb and eBay to check the average selling prices on similar items, further noting how long the item has been up for sale. If the item is priced in excess of the actual market value, the item will linger, unsold.
4) I'm thinking about buying a particular Vox product offered for sale. Here's all the details, including a number of photos, the serial number and the asking price. What's your expert opinion?

5) When was my Vox amp, organ or guitar built?

6) What happened to North Coast Music? Do you still have any Vox amp, organ or guitar parts for sale or can you suggest someone who does? What about those reissue cabinets and trolleys North Coast Music used to offer?
I retired and closed North Coast Music July 1, 2024. The entire remaining North Coast Music inventory of Vox amp, organ and guitar parts was sold to the Vintage Amporium in Southampton UK in December 2024 where it remains available for purchase today. I sold the trolleys and stands division of North Coast Music to Recording Services and Supply of Salina KS in 2019. I know of no one making Vox reproduction cabinets or spare front/back panels. I do not offer any blueprints to those wanting to build their own repro trolleys, stands or cabinets.
