Vox VXT-1 Strobe Tuner (2020-2025)

The Vox VTX-1 strobe tuner is packed with features that will satisfy the most demanding user. The VTX-1 has three operating modes: Calibration, Offset and Display. Enter the Calibration mode by pressing and holding the CALIB button on the front of the pedal. This mode allows an "A" (A4) pitch adjustment from 436 to 445 hz. The Offset mode is used select the type of instrument being tuned and the desired temperment. Some of the ten tuning choices include: chromatic, regular guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, plus special tunings such as "Drop D" and DADGAD. Enter the mode by pressing and holding the OFFSET button.

The Display mode of the Vox VXT-1 tuner allows the choice of one of three display settings, Strobe, Diamond or Vertical. Enter Display mode by pressing the DISPLAY button on the front of the pedal or by pressing and holding the TUNER ON/OFF foot switch. When choosing the Strobe display setting, LED lights chase around the diamond display clockwise when the note is sharp and counterclockwise when the note is flat. The LEDs stop chasing when the note is in tune. The owner's manual for the VXT-1 tuner indicates that the Strobe display setting will yield the most accurate results. The Diamond display indicates proper tuning when the top of the diamond display is lit. If the upper right segment of the diamond display is lit, the note is sharp. If the upper left segment is lit, the note is flat. The Vertical display setting indicates proper tuning when the left and right corners of the diamond display are equally illuminated.The top of the diamond display will also be lit, further confirning proper tuning. The US manufacturer's suggested retail price (2025) for the Vox VXT-1 tuner was $129.99 but it was offered by most online retailers for $99.99. Country of Origin: Vietnam.
