First introduced to the US market in the fall of 2010, the VT20+ was the replacement for the Vox VT15. The VT20+ had one 8" Vox special design speaker in a closed back pressed board enclosure.
The circuitry of the VT20+ expanded on the facilties of the VT15 by increasing the number of amp models from twenty-two to thirty-three. Eleven effects pedals and eleven modulators/delays are also included.
The amp also expanded on the storage of preset factory tone programs to a total of 99. The VT20+ amp also provided storage for eight additional customer created programs.
A guitar tuner was also included.
An optional VFS5 floor pedal allowed for remote control of effects and programs.
The 20 watt power amp of the VT20+ also included a "power control" control that allows the output power to be continuously varied from one watt to full power.
The VT20+ was covered in a smooth black vinyl. Black Vox "shadow diamond" grill cloth replaced the chrome steel grill previously used on the AD and VT models.
Vox introduced the VT20+ "Classic" in 2013. It featured traditional brown vox grill cloth and gold plated logos.
