Introduced by Vox in May 2017, the battery powered AC2RV RhythmVox and AC2RV RhythmVox Bass replaced the AC1RV RhythmVox models previously produced by Vox. Both AC2RV RhythmVox models offered about 20 hours of battery operation on a set of six AA cells. They could also be powered using the optional KA183 AC power adaptor. A "sleep" function automatically turned the amp off after an extended period of inactivity.
Both AC2RV amps featured an injection molded plastic enclosure including realistic details such as corners, vents, handles and a gold plated logo. The textured surface of the cabinet simulated the appearance of traditional smooth black Vynide vinyl covering. Solid black grill fabric covered the twin 3" speakers. A removable back panel provided access to the battery compartment.
The control section of the AC2RV RhythmVox and AC2RV Rhythm Vox Bass featured gain, tone and volume controls. The amps also featured a three position "Mode" slide switch. This switch selected between clean, crunch and lead tones on the AC2RV RhythmVox and normal, flat and scoop EQ settings on the AC2RV RhythmVox Bass. Additionally, three adjustable digital effcts were included: chorus, delay and reverb.
The AC2RV RhythmVox and AC2RV RhythmVox Bass featured a stereo output stage. The amplifier was capable of a total output of two watts, one watt for each channel.
An internal "drum box" offered 81 rhythm patterns comprised of nine genres and nine variations.
The AC2RV RhythmVox anps also included a dedicated E-tuner with LED lamps to dial in perfect pitch.
