Introduced at the Winter 2010 NAMM Music Convention in Anaheim CA, the AC15VR is a lower cost alternative to the all tube AC15CC1 and AC15C1 amps also offered by Vox.

The analog preamp circuitry of the AC15VR has two channels. The Normal or "clean" channel has a Volume control. The Overdrive channel has a Gain and Volume control along with a dual gain overdrive Style push button switch. The EQ section features a master Treble and Bass control. The Master section features a spring delay based Reverb control and a Master Volume control.

The power amp utilizes the patented Vox VR one watt tube output circuit operating in Class A mode supplying signal to a 15 watt solid state power amp.

The AC15VR has one 12" Vox VX12 special design speaker made by Celestion. This speaker is installed in a closed back pressed board enclosure.
