"Souls of Britain" - Baltimore, MD - 1967
Here's a photo of the "Souls of Britain" sent in by member Mike Zapf. Mike told me the bands name came from their choice of music, a mixture of soul and British tunes. Mike went on to say that the Souls of Britain were active in the mid 60s in the south Baltimore area.
Left to right, the members were: Steven Hunt, playing bass guitar through a Vox Essex Bass, lead guitarist Mike Lynch, playing a 335 style Harmony guitar through a solid state Berkeley amp, lead vocalist Tom Smith, Louie Potter on drums and rhythm guitarist Mike Zapf, playing what appears to be a Vox Hurricane guitar through a second solid state Vox Berkeley amp. There also appears to be either a Vox Cambridge Reverb or a Vox Pacemaker setting upon the Essex Bass amp.
