The Ampliphonic Stereo Multi-Voice is VOX innovation at it's best. An "octave divider" of sorts, the Stereo Multi-Voice was designed specifically for wind instruments as part of VOX's Ampliphonic series of big band amplifiers and accessories. The effect accepted a mono input and a stereo (Dual mono) output for use with two amplifiers or amplifier channels.
It featured an instrument blend control; master volume; stereo balance and Vibrato. Effect settings included; instrument selector; one octave up soprano sax; one octave up violin; one octave down sax; one octave down clarinet; two octaves down sax; two octaves down clarinet, two octaves down bass; delay; AVC (Automatic Vibrato Control) and Vibrato - light and full. The two octave bass setting is a particularly cool effect when used on guitar. The input section featured one input; left and right output; clarinet or sax eq selector switch; on-off switch and foot pedal jack. The top closes to protect the controls and is fitted with a unique VOX logo badge. |
