Released in 1998, the newly reissued Vox guitars show a continuing effort on the part of VOX Amplification Ltd. to provide unique and finely crafted musical instruments to the world. Vox is currently offering five models; the Mark III Custom, the Mark III with tremolo, the Mark VI, the Mark XII and the Vox Mini 12 guitar. Future models are in planning including bass models and semi-hollow body models. It should be noted that Vox does not refer to these guitars as "Phantom®" or "Tear Drop®" as these trademark names are owned by The Phantom Guitars Works of Seattle. Vox refers to these the guitar shapes as "Delta" and "Droplet" shapes.
