| This publicity shot of The Beatles taken at The Saville Theater shows John Lennon and George Harrison with what appears to be Defaint heads sitting on top of 730 speaker cabs (note the white letters on the vertical VOX logo, characteristic of the logo on 7 series cabs). Paul stands before his 4120 with a similar cab to John and George. The Beatles utilized Defiant amps in the studio during recording sessions in late 1966 and 1967. That even The Beatles had no problem utilizing solid state amplifiers should put to rest the old worn out "Solid state vs. Tube" controversy conclusively. |
