Vox!
The Beatles
British Line

The 7120 & The Beatles
The Beatles recording at EMI studios circa 1966.

Note the pair of 7120's and a Fender Dual Showman sandwiched in among. The Beatles were obligated by contract to use VOX amplifiers while on stage, but were free to utilize equipment of their choice for recording purposes.

The 7120 and 4120's The Beatles were given by VOX varied in many respects from the versions offered to the general public. The size of the head cabinet was smaller - the same size as a 760. It had only one handle as opposed to two and the tubes were mounted on the chassis at a 30 degree or so angle to the vertical plane.

The speaker cabinet was much larger than the single cabinet version and was probably loaded with four 12" VOX Celestion Alnicos and two 10" VOX speakers.
