The British trolley hand wheels were made from a single piece of steel and the VOX logo hydraulically imprinted into it. A nut was welded into the inside of the plate which allowed it to be attached a threaded plate which was attached to the amplifier. The chrome plating and gauge of steel were superior to that of the US hand wheels. British hand wheels had the entire VOX logo recessed into the steel as opposed to the US hand wheel that had just a simple outline of the logo imprinted into it.
The English amplifiers were better constructed in every detail. |
