The English cross over capacitors were rated at 2.0 mfd and the US capacitors at 4.0 mfd. This difference was necessary to match the usual 8 ohms of most UK amplifiers and the 2 ohms of the largest US amplifiers respectively. Need less to say this capacitor difference also effected the sound which didn't help the Thomas US amplifiers dis-spell any sound quality questions at the time. |
