The AC-4 did not come with any corner protectors as other VOX amplifiers but did have two metal vents. The corners were simply covered with a tuck of vynide. Overall, the construction of the AC-4 was much simpler than the bigger VOX's. It was constructed with 3/8” plywood and much less heavier duty parts throughout.
