The AC-30 Super Twin is the piggyback version of the classic AC-30 combination. (This particular AC-30 Super Twin has a rare candy apple red control panel with the top boost on the panel.)
At one point VOX offered the AC-30 Super Twin with a number 1 and a 2 added to the end of the model name. The AC-30 Super Twin I had a single 2x12" cabinet while the AC-30 Super Twin II had two 2x12" cabinets. These second speaker cabinets were called extension cabinets. The Super Twins also had a number of stand options available over the years. You could order a rigid stand for the head and/or one for the cabinet. A trolley with a single bar holding the head or a roller stand with a double bar set up holding the head was also available. The later was similar to the roller stands that the American Thomas models came with. |
