The UL710: Reverb Spring

The UL 710, like many of the late 1960's hybrids and Solid State models, featured a single spring reverb setup. The reverb was driven by a phono cartridge as well as another phono cartridge as the pick up driver.

VOX refused to pay Hammond a license fee in order to use the better sounding Hammond Spring reverb found in Fender amps. The sound of the VOX spring reverb leaves a bit to be desired as a result.
