Have you heard about shipping horror stories from other stores? We overpack and double box every AC-30CC2X ampliifier prior to shipment over and above the manufacturer's packaging.

We charge no state sales tax on amps shipped outside of WI

Tubes that are microphonic are replaced before shipment

We check the reverb pan for shipping inbound shipping damage and we replace the reverb pan if necessary before we ship the amp to you.

The rubber feet are moved so they are properly located for use with a Vox chrome rigid stand.

We change the speaker wires from "soldered" to "removable spade terminals" on amps that arrive from Vox with non removable speaker cords to make removing the chassis to change tubes much easier. Click here for a picture.

Every AC-30CC2X bench tested and burned in for twenty four hours prior to shipment to help eliminate potential "infant mortalities." Specifically, this test is performed in six stages, each four hours long, to further simulate real world usage.

Every amp performance tested for proper operation and inspected for perfect cosmetics at North Coast before shipment, defective units rejected, who else does that?

What is the tonal difference between the Vox Alnico Blue and the Vox GSH12-30 speakers offered in the AC-30CC amps?

The Vox/Celestion Blue speaker has a bit more present mid that breaks into a very warm overdriven distortion when pushed hard. The Alnico Blue was the only speaker offered by JMI Vox in the 1960 era AC-30 amp, so it is the speaker you heard in all the earlier Beatle recordings. The Alnico Blue is rated at 15 watts RMS.

The GSH12-30 is a sort of Celestion "Green Back" tone clone made specially for Vox by Wharfedale, and it has a more "trebly" top end than the Alnico Blue. This speaker is rated at 30 watts RMS.
