What is the tonal difference between the Vox Alnico Blue and the Vox GSH12-30 speakers offered in the AC-15CC1?

The Vox/Celestion Blue speaker has a bit more present mid that breaks into a very warm overdriven distortion when pushed hard. The Alnico Blue was the only speaker offered by JMI Vox in the 1960 era AC-30 amp, so it is the speaker you heard in all the earlier Beatle recordings. The Alnico Blue is rated at 15 watts RMS.

The GSH12-30 is a sort of Celestion "Green Back" tone clone made specially for Vox by Wharfedale, and it has a more "trebly" top end than the Alnico Blue. This speaker is rated at 30 watts RMS.

First introduced in 1958, the AC15 15 Watt combo has been the amp of choice for countless tone-loving guitar players throughout the world. Now VOX is pleased to introduce the next incarnation of this renowned amplifier, the AC15 Custom Classic (AC15CC1). Like its big brother, the AC30 Custom Classic, the flexible, affordable AC15CC1 is equipped with a number of modern features and conveniences.

The AC15CC has an array of features including Master volume, spring Reverb, Treble and Bass controls and Tremolo with fully variable Speed and Depth. Tremolo and Reverb are footswitchable with the included VF002 footswitch. The speaker impedance is switchable (8 or 16 Ohms) for connecting external cabinets. The AC15CC is available with either a Celestion AlNiCo “Blue” Speaker (AC15CC1X) or our specially voiced VOX Custom speaker (AC15CC1). The choice is yours.

Many have asked about using this stand with other amps than Vox. For those people, here are the dimensions of the amp tray: The absolute total maximum width of the amp tray is 24.1". The distance between the inside of the two parallel amp support tubes is 8.5", or 10" to the outside of the same tubes. The stand raises the amp about 15" above the floor.
