    What are the differences between the new Vox AC15C1 amp and the AC15CC1 amp that Vox recently discontinued?

  • The AC15C1 has two channels and two inputs. The AC15CC1 had only one channel and only one input.
  • The AC15C1 has tubes that may be changed without removing the amp chassis from the cabinet. The AC15CC1 required the removal of the amp chassis to change tubes.
  • The AC15C1 has an additional ECC83 preamp tube to support the second channel in the amp.
  • The AC15C1 and AC15CC1 both have a diode bridge for AC rectification, neither has a rectifier tube.
  • The AC15C1 amp uses a 12" Celestion Greenback speaker. The AC15CC1 used a 12" Wharfedale GSH12-30 speaker.
  • The VFS2A foot switch for the AC15C1 is an optional, extra cost accessory. A foot switch was included with the AC15CC1.
  • Both the AC15C1 and the AC15CC1 have amp cabinets made of MDF (particle board). Rather than offer a complete baltic birch replacement cabinet, North Coast Music is offering an $70 upgrade to a 13 ply baltic birch (speaker) board covered in your choice of either brown or black diamond Vox grill cloth.

    Many have asked about using this stand with other amps than Vox. For those people, here are the dimensions of the amp tray: The absolute total maximum width of the amp tray is 24.1". The distance between the inside of the two parallel amp support tubes is 8.5", or 10" to the outside of the same tubes. The stand raises the amp about 15" above the floor.

Fully foam lined, featuring four recessed twist latches, recessed handles, three inch swivel casters, and a durable dark solid gray carpeted exterior. Fits Korg Vox 1x12 and 2x10 AC-15 models through the AC15CC1, AC15CC1X, and AC15C1 amps. The case is constructed entirely from 1/2" 5-ply Superply plywood. The removable caster plate is constructed from 1/2" 8-ply hardwood plywood. Four heavy duty Guitel 3" swivel casters assure easy mobility.

    This case does not fit vintage AC-15s. No returns.
