AC-50 "Washington DC" Speaker Enclosure - An authentic reproduction of the open backed Vox "small box" AC-50 speaker enclosure used by the Beatles in their first US concert in Washington DC, now manufactured exclusively by North Coast Music and authorized and licensed by Vox UK.

On their first trip to America, the world's most famous quartet used a special version of the AC-30 speaker enclosure that included a cutout for a Goodmans Midax horn. Known popularly as the "small box AC-50 speaker cab", it featured brown grill, a black plaque covered in vinyl to which the logo is affixed, "perfect" vinyl corners with no plastic corner caps, and that amazing hole in the back that the Midax magnet protrudes through. Our cab is faithful to the original design, and is constructed of baltic birch plywood, just like the original, and includes the correct logo. The cabinet is supplied less speakers, crossover, and horn, and includes an NCM-074 handle, jack, and a 20 inch long wire on the original style Switchcraft 3 pin jack. It is covered in authentic "H" pattern vinyl. Brown Vox diamond grill is installed. Approximately 27.25" x 20.25" x 10.375".

AC-50 Washington DC Head Enclosure An authentic reproduction of the Vox "small box" AC-50 amp head enclosure used by the Beatles in their first US concert in Washington DC, now manufactured exclusively by North Coast Music and authorized and licensed by Vox UK.

The companion piece to the "Washington DC speaker enclosure". This is a "thin edge" enclosure, meaning that, like early Vox amp heads, the cabinet is constructed mostly from 3/8" thickness baltic birch. Like the original, it is covered in "H" pattern vinyl, and features brown grill cloth. An NCM-074 handle is provided, but you must provide all connectors, and of course, a JMI style AC-50 chassis, either tube or silicon rectified. Both "big box" and "small box" JMI AC-50 chassis will fit this head cab, but you must unbolt the slider board from a "big box" AC-50 chassis to fit this "small box" cab. Nameplate is included. No amplifier chassis or vent grill is included.

Outside dimensions: 19" x 6.25" x 11." Inside dimensions: about 17" x 5" x 9" including backstrips.
