Until about two weeks ago, while looking for a price on a Rickenbacker 330 12 string guitar, I had never heard of North Coast Music. Now, I am happy I have. I purchased a Ric 330/12 string on 12/23/10. Due to the upcoming holiday, the guitar was not shipped until the following Monday, 12/27, which was fine with me. I live in New York state and thought it would take about 3 or 4 days to arrive here. It took 2. The packaging done by Gary was very professional and the guitar was WELL protected. Upon opening the case, it was everything and more that had been promised. It was set up perfectly, tuned, and ready to plug in. There are several reasons why I am happy I bought this guitar from North Coast. Here they are:

North Coast Music double boxes all RIC guitars and basses prior to shipment. Why is double boxing important?

The RIC factory shipping carton was intended to safely deliver the guitar to the retailer, but it was never intended to be reused for another shipment to the customer. If you read any of the online RIC forums, I am sure you have read about RIC guitars that were damaged while enroute to their owners. North Coast Music double boxes every RIC guitar and bass to maximize the possibility that no damage will occur to our guitar in shipment. In fact, since North Coast Music started double boxing RIC guitars (about 400 RIC guitars ago) not one RIC was damaged while in shipment to a customer.
