Just like many of you, I didn't realize the wide range of products that Hofner makes beyond the Beatle Bass. Hofner is a major manufacturer of classical guitars, violins, celli, and bass violins in both the student and professional range. Their Paesold division is perhaps the largest manufacturer in the world of quality violin bows.
In the picture at left, one of Hofner's master luthiers is holding the classical guitar he was building, by hand, as we watched.
Now when I think of instruments from Hofner, I recognize the fantastic German hand craftsmanship in every product, and the highly skilled master workers that make them.
