Standard Hofner Hardshell Case

Gary,
I recieved the Hofner 500/1 V63 G01306 Beatle bass. It is fabulous. I see why McCartney used these basses for all those years and is still using them today. It came in right on schedule and was in perfect shape. It was a pleasure to do business with you again.
Good Luck and God Bless.

I've been a Beatles fan since 1963 and finally got my dream bass. I've been playing a Fender USA Jazz bass and an Epiphone Viola bass. I received the Hofner V63 bass, actually two days earlier than tracking date from DHL! It is beautiful, plays so easily, and the tone is awesome. It was set up perfectly. You are a real pro. It was really a positive experience doing business.
Best wishes,

Gary,
My Hofner 500/1 Vintage 63' arrived today. I would have e-mailed you sooner (about 4 hours ago), however, I started playing the bass and the rest is history. The tone is remarkably reminiscent of Sir Paul McCartney's signature "plunky" sound and exudes a truly vintage "vibe". The highly flamed back is incredible! Your Hofner basses are without question "the cream of the crop".
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you. This was my first experience with North Coast Music. Your professionalism and customer service is the best I have ever experienced in nearly 30-years of dealing with music stores throughout the United States. The bass and case arrived in outstanding condition; due largely to the care you take in proper handling, packaging, and shipping. This not only shows your attention to details, but more importantly your respect for the instrument and the customers who purchased it.
I play bass for several Nashville recording artists, including a past winner of Star Search. The tone of the Hofner 500/1 Vintage 63' bass is exactly the sound I have been looking for to recreate that "Classic Country Sound". I have never been happier with the purchase of a bass and I am proud to add it to my arsenal.
Thanks again and keep up the outstanding work!

H500/1 V63 Beatle Bass
The top of the V63 Beatle Bass is carved German spruce, and the sides and
back are made from highly flamed African maple. It is then finished in a deep
sunburst topped with a highly lustrous clear lacquer. The picture showing the
rear of the bass gives an excellent example of the flaminess of the wood used
building these instruments.
A white perloid pickguard, control panel, and white body molding accent the
sunburst finish.
Two of the venerable "staple" pickups are standard. These are an exact
replication of the pickups used on H500 basses in the early sixties, before
the change to the less desirable bar style pickups of the lates sixties and
onward.
A three piece neck made of maple/beech/maple offers stability and a strikingly handsome appearance. The neck is about 1/8" thinner from the top of the fret board to the rear center of the back radius when compared to the thicker neck of a Hofner Vintage 62 or Cavern Bass. Players accustomed to the feel of the slender neck of a J-Bass will like the feel of the V63 Beatle Bass. Click here to see a comparison table of the V63 versus the V62 Hofner Beatle basses.
Just the like original 1963 H500 basses, individual tuning keys are standard,
a departure from the strip tuners used on earlier models.
The bass comes with Hofner branded flat wound strings made for Hofner by a famous German string manufacturer.
A "Bullet" style Hofner hard shell case is included.
A left handed model is available for the same price.
North Coast Music has every V63 Beatle Bass we sell hand selected from the Hofner warehouse, insuring that you will receive the highest quality, best sounding, and most flamey guitar available. Unlike many other dealers, we try to stock numerous V63 Beatle Basses at all times. We ship from inventory, not from promises.
The retail price for the H500/1 V63 Beatle Bass for 2008 is $2997 with the standard vintage style Hofner hardshell case. Right handed and left handed models are the same price.
