Regarding the coloration of the finishes on Hofner basses: All Hofner sunburst basses are hand painted. This hand painting leads to the differences in hue and contrast of each bass. There is no distinction made in the finishing department at Hofner between the finish of a V63 versus a V62 or Club Bass. Any hue and contrast differences come from the painter's hands.

The tops of the basses are all quite similar in grain pattern. The grain pattern of the backs can vary quite a bit from very flamey to moderately flamey.

The color shades you see on your monitor may not reflect the actual hue and contrast of the guitar, as this is affected by how your monitor is adjusted. Our Hofner bass photos are color adjusted on a color corrected computer monitor, but your monitor settings may not necessarily mirror ours.

Before shipment. North Coast Music sets up each bass, adjusting it for proper intonation and action. The truss rods are adjusted for minimum relief.
