FAQ1: I see that you build, under license to Vox, certain Vox enclosures. Will you custom build or modify an existing Vox licensed enclosure you offer to my specs? Will you supply a Vox cabinet not pictured or offered in your web site? May I get a different speaker jack than the one listed in the online cabinet description? May I supply my own vinyl, grill cloth, or hardware for you to install? Are there other options, such as Midax horns or custom vinyls available for these enclosures?
A: Due to licensing restrictions, I may only build and offer those specific Vox enclosure models which are shown in my web site. These are only offered exactly as shown and described online, fully completed and including the installation of our vinyl, grill fabrics and hardware. There is no customization or modification to these enclosures possible due to the licensing agreement I have made with Vox UK that limits this sort of activity. The only vinyl and grill cloth offered are those shown in my web site, and I do not install customer supplied vinyls or grill cloth. Midax horns are not available, Goodmans ceased making these about 30 years ago. I have no source for these Midax horns but to suggest you watch eBay.
FAQ2: I also notice that you make chrome trolleys and stands, but not for the Vox amp model I want. Do you offer a chrome plated stand for the.....Westminster or Essex Bass? The Cambridge Reverb, Pathfinder, or Pacemaker? The small T-60 or Foundation "base ring type" stand? Will you custom make a stand to my specs?
A: I only build and offer those specific Vox stands and trolleys that you see in my web site. I do not offer custom stands or trolleys.
FAQ3: What is the story about the "Black Dog" speaker that North Coast Music offers in many cabinets?
A: The "Black Dog" 12" speaker is built specifically for North Coast Music by the largest American manfacturer of loud speaker components. It is voiced to be similar in tone to that famous English "blue" speaker found in many Vox amplifiers. This speaker has a ferrite (or ceramic) magnet and a 1.5" voice coil. FAQ4: Does North Coast Music offer separate REPLACEMENT BACK OR FRONT PANELS for Vox amps and cabs?
A: I do not offer replacement back or front panels. There have been too many issues with sizes discrepancies on Vox cabs and heads, I have chosen to not offer these such replacement panels for this reason. Additionally, I do not offer replacement front or rear panels for the Vox licensed cabinets produced at North Coast Music, as well.
