FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT JERRY JONES MASTER SITARS
FAQ1: How do you ADJUST THE BRIDGE on the Jerry Jones Master Sitar?
A: The sitar “Buzz-bridge” can be adjusted in two ways: string height and string length.
Step #1: Adjust the two front bridge screws to obtain desired playing action.
Step #2: At the same time maintain the bridge parallel to the guitar top (as viewed from the players position: the bass side) by adjusting the rear center screw.
Step #3: If step #2 changes desired action height, repeat both step #1 and step #2.
Step#4: Intonation can now be set with fine adjustment of the rear center screw. Counter-clockwise rotation increases overall string length and clockwise rotation decreases the overall string length. Adjust center screw until open note matches the fretted notes at the 12th fret. The A and B strings are best to use to test intonation. Recently we have had great success with our intonation settings at the factory by comparing the open high E string to an E note played at the 17th fret on the B string and using this as the basis for adjusting the overall intonation.
FAQ4: What COLORS of the Master Sitar does North Coast Music stock?
A: North Coast Music offers the Jerry Jones Master Sitar in Red Gator and Creme Gator. Jerry Jones also offers these sitars in Turquoise Gator and Black Gator, but North Coast Music does not offer these colors, even by special order.
FAQ5: How do I know if the Master Sitar is in stock at North Coast Music in the color I want?
A: If you see the following "order quantity box "and "add to order" button next to any item offered in the North Coast Music web site, it is in stock.
FAQ6: Can I get a discount quote on a Jerry Jones guitar model not shown in your web site?
A: I only offer the Jerry Jones Master Sitar at this time. As the manufacturers do not extend a return policy to retailers, I cannot extend a return privilege to customers on "special order" Jerry Jones models. As a result, I choose to not offer such "special order" guitars.
