These knobs do not fit vintage Vox amps unless the amp has a knurled control shaft, as shown at left.
JMI Style Voltage Selector Knob (cap only) - A rotary voltage selector switch was common on JMI Vox amps from the 1960s. Unfortunately, these voltage selector switches have not withstood the test of time. Many of these switches have broken, often losing their selector knob totally.
To add to the complication, such voltage selector switches have been made illegal in many countries, so a reproduction of the switch asssembly is not very likely these days.
North Coast Music is providing a simple and effective solution to this problem. Have your tech "hard wire" your amp to the desired AC voltage for your country, then replace the broken switch with one of these reproduction voltage selector knobs. Although the knob will be non functional, your amp will retain its stock appearance.
