These knobs do not fit vintage Vox amps unless they have a knurled control shaft, as shown at left.
These are also an excellent finctional replacement for the knobs used on the Vox Supreme, Defiant, and Conqueror amps, in fact, they are a quite a bit shinier than the originals.
JMI Style Voltage Selector Knob (cap only) - A rotary voltage selector switch was common on JMI Vox amps from the 1960s. Unfortunately, these voltage selector switches have not withstood the test of time. Many of these switches have broken, often losing their selector knob totally.
To add to the complication, such voltage selector switches have been made illegal in many countries, so a reproduction of the switch asssembly is not very likely these days.
North Coast Music is providing a simple and effective solution to this problem. Have your tech "hard wire" your amp to the desired AC voltage for your country, then glue one of these reproduction voltage selector knobs in place over the hole left by the old, broken switch. Although the knob will be non functional, your amp will retain its stock appearance.
