Vox 1962 "Vox Amplification - Choice of Leading Artists" Product Catalog
The lower right corner (framed in red) of the 1962 "Vox Amplification - The Choice of Leading Artists" catalog featured AC-15 and AC-30 "Bass Frequency" combo amplifiers. The circuit for these 2x12" combo bass amps was nearly identical to their AC-15 and AC-30 "Normal" or guitar amp counterparts. Only three capacitors were changed from the guitar to the bass preamp design to accentuate low end response.

The product photo of a AC-30 head with two extension cabinets and a Vox Phantom guitar establishes that Vox was already covering some amps in black vinyl in 1962. The photo also establishes "full grill" AC-30 extension cabinets were produced as far back as 1962.
