"The Yaks" - 1968-69 - Starnberg, Germany




Hubi Wobbe emailed these pictures of his 1960's Vox band, "The Yaks." The upper photo was from the late 1960s, the lower photo was from a 2006 Yaks reunion concert.

The members of the Yaks were Hubi Wobbe (guitar, harp, lead singer), Waldi Stieglmeier (organ, trumpet and vocals), Wini Wobbe (bass, saxophone, vocals) and Martl Koller (drums).

The Yaks used a Vox Conqueror amplifier and a Vox Super Continental organ in the 1960s. A Valvetronix AD120 and a Defiant cabinet were used at the 2006 reunion show.
