"The Novas" - Dallas TX - 1969 


David Dennard sent in these photos of "The Novas," a Texas based Vox band from the 1960s. David played bass guitar in the group.

The Novas released several 45 RPM singles, including "William Junior" b/w "And It's Time", toured and have a retrospective CD out called "The Sump'n Else Tapes" on Collectibles Records.

The promotional photo above was taken at Minsky's Music, a major 1960s era Vox dealer located in the Dallas suburb of Preston Forest.

David tells me that he still plays modern VOX amps today, owning a VT100 and VT15 guitar amp. He also hopes that Vox will someday make bass amps again.
