"The Esquires" - 1964-1966 - Jonesboro AR


The Esquires hailed from Jonesboro AR. The members were Jim Grimes vocals, Rick Metzler on rhythm guitar, Stanley Knight on lead guitar, Rick Murray on sax, Scott Snellgrove on bass and Roger Barnhill on drums. They played in both northeast Arkansas and in the Memphis TN area, including an appearance on the "Talent Party" television show. Their promotional picture features a small box, thick edge Vox AC-50 amp head.

The Esquires released a record in 1966 entitled "Sadie's Ways" on Alley Records.
